Founded in the UK in August 2024 and launched in October 2025, Meliza’s was born from a bold belief: African heritage ingredients deserve a beautiful, meaningful place on the global table.
Our first creation, Meliza's Plantain Pasta

Meet Our Founder
Moyo Ogunmiloro is a wife, mother, daughter, food innovator, women’s advocate and eternal optimist.
She founded Meliza’s with one unshakable belief: we are stewards of something greater than ourselves.
Her food story began in the family kitchen, learning pasta-making from her father at age 6. As the only one of his eight children he passed that skill to, pasta became memory, craft and love.
Years later, as a mother of three, that memory found new meaning when her fussy-eating son only trusted PLANTAIN. So Moyo began experimenting with the food he loved most.
That experiment became Meliza’s Plantain Pasta.
Rooted in faith, family and heritage, Moyo is building a new standard for African food innovation, starting with the UK’s first Plantain Pasta.
